MOUTH WATERING, JUICY AND SWEET.
Cherries
Crisp, sweet juicy export quality cherries grown here in Timaru. A Tastebud Sensation!
When you eat cherries, you enjoy much more than just their amazing taste. They offer many health benefits including helping to reduce inflammation and joint pain, reduces risk of gout, high in antioxidants, lowers risk of stroke and can improve brain function.
Cherries are best eaten fresh but can be de-stoned and frozen or dried so they can be enjoyed throughout the year when fresh cherries are out of season.
We grow 5 different varieties starting just before Christmas through to early February.
Strawberries
Mouth-watering sweet strawberries that are grown up high using a technique that makes picking a breeze.
Strawberries are packed with vitamins and minerals so including them in your diet might just help you achieve and maintain a lowered risk of developing certain diseases.
They can be enjoyed in many ways including fresh, dried, as a jam, in a smoothie and also great in recipes.
Strawberries will not ripen further after being picked and are the only fruit that wear their seeds on the outside.
RASPBERRIES
Delicious juicy raspberries that are sweet enough to eat straight from the punnet.
Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C which is also a powerful antioxidant. They are also packed with other vital vitamins and minerals.
They are best enjoyed fresh, on their own or as a dessert with ice cream. They are great in recipes, jam or drinks.
Raspberries don’t continue to ripen when picked.
STEVE & JO
Steve Malone
As well as the day to day maintenance, re-planting and manicuring of the Orchard, I control the irrigation and fertigation of the trees and plants providing the right balance of nutrients.
During the harvesting season I manage the pickers out in the field ensuring the fruit is picked correctly and collect picked fruit to take back to the packhouse.
I am also out selling the fruit and attend the Christchurch Farmers Markets every weekend, so our customers can have direct contact with the grower.

As well as the day to day maintenance, re-planting and manicuring of the Orchard, I prune the raspberries to ensure a crop for the following season.
During the harvesting season I manage the packhouse and shop ensuring they run smoothly. I am in charge of packing, quality control and marketing.
I am also out selling the fruit, so I as the grower can have direct contact with our customers.
